Breastmilk Epigenetics Cohort Study (BECS)
is a scientific research project aiming to understand how human milk can teach us ways to understand the health of mothers, most importantly their risk of developing breast cancer in later life.
Our motivation - to help stop women being affected by breast cancer by 2050. For some, it can't come soon enough.
If you are pregnant and planning to breastfeed or feeding a baby less than 2 months old you can help
Help us to identify women who are at a high risk of breast cancer, where there is currently no other way to tell
Help us to understand how your milk changes over months and years
